Internships
Overview
Every year thousands of students come to the UK to learn English and take other courses of study. Increasingly students are combining their studies with Work Experience and Internship programmes in companies and other organisations.
An 'Internship' in the UK is an asset to every CV. If you are aiming for a successful career in business, you must have good language skills and international work experience. It is proof of your independence and flexibility. It also consolidates your knowledge of the English language.

Your period of study at Castle School:
This can be General English, our Exam Courses or our Work Skills Course.
Internships and Work & Study programmes are offered together with carefully selected local partners. The programmes all begin and sometimes end with language studies to build your confidence and fluency and then lead onto going into a work placement.
Programmes are designed to offer you the opportunity to improve and practise your English in a real working environment.
You can achieve an Academic Certificate and a Certificate of Work Experience
To participate in an 'Internship' or 'Work & Study programme' you will need to be:
- Citizens of the European Union or EEA country
You need a strong intermediate level of English before your Internship / Placement begins.
You need to have some experience of working in the sector you choose.
All applicants have to pass an interview to accepted onto the course. You will also have to pass an interview with the placement provider.

We can usually arrange an Internship / Work & Study programme at any time of year
(between February and November.)
Accommodation
Castle School can provide accommodation in Brighton but you will need to find your own accommodation if you choose to work in London.

Here at Castle School, staff can offer students help on: Welfare & Counselling, Passports & Visas, Insurance & Personal Security, Health & Safety, University Placement Advice and Airport Transfer.
We are situated a stone's throw from the main Brighton Shopping Centre of Churchill Square and a mere 10 minutes walk from the train station.
With both Home Stay and Self Catering accommodation on offer, you can find the right accommodation suitable for you. The average commuting time from nearby accommodation to school is just 15-30 mintues.
