Your period of study at Castle School:

This can be General English, our Exam Courses or our Work Skills Course.

Internships and Work & Study programmes are offered together with carefully selected local partners. The programmes all begin and sometimes end with language studies to build your confidence and fluency and then lead onto going into a work placement.

Programmes are designed to offer you the opportunity to improve and practise your English in a real working environment.

You can achieve an Academic Certificate and an internationally recognised Certificate of Work Experience (Edexcel Work Skills Level 3 Qualification) and this significantly enhances your career opportunities.

You need a strong intermediate level of English before your Internship / Placement begins.

To participate in an 'Internship' or 'Work & Study Programme' you will need to be:

• Citizens of the European Union or
• Have a valid working / student visa (Non Eu Citizens)

IMPORTANT

For students who require a visa, the total weeks of English must be equal to or GREATER than the length of the internship - work experience.

When can you do your Internship / Work & Study Programme?

We can usually arrange an Internship / Work & Study Programme at any time of year, but remember that many English companies close for a few weeks at Christmas time.

You would normally begin your 'Internship' or 'Work & Study Programme' as soon as your English course finishes or if it is part of a 'Sandwich Programme' after completing the first half of your course.
